Lib Dem councillor Monica Whyte wants to make sure Hornsey residents have their say on redevelopment plans

Hornsey Ward councillor Monica Whyte has urged local residents to attend an exhibition of plans to build homes and a supermarket in the former Hornsey Works area, in an effort to make sure local people's views are heard.

The exhibition, which is being held from 5pm to 8pm at Campsbourne Baptist Church on Thursday 28th and Friday 29th February, comes as local Liberal Democrats express concerns about the effect of such a big development on local services.

Cllr Monica Whyte commented, "While many people in our area will welcome the idea of more homes that are affordable for local families, we need to make sure that the properties will be big enough for residents' needs and that we get the extra services and infrastructure that a development of this size would require.

"If we are to achieve this, local residents need to take every opportunity to make their voices heard. I would strongly urge as many people as possible to attend this exhibition, so they can tell developers first hand how their lives would be affected!"
